We used to play this song in Honey Dear. The band broke up when I moved to Halifax and I think Ricardo got deported back to Venezuela briefly, and we never recorded it, but a few months later Joel started a new band (Brigitte) with Jon and brought this song along. I happened to be in town the day they recorded it, so I played my old keyboard part and sang my old backups. Brigitte broke up a year or two back when Jon went to England for six months with his other band, and I’m sure only a couple of people have the mp3s comprising their 55 minutes or so of recorded material.
Anyway, here’s one now. Joel wrote it, Honey Dear bashed out the arrangement, I tweaked the lyrics in the second verse; Jon made the whole thing shinier when he recorded it. Joel on acoustic guitar, me on keyboards, Jon on drums and bass and lots of other stuff, all three of us singing, and I believe Joel’s old roommate Katie played the totally metal electric guitar towards the end.
